When you're properly pinning your hair with bobby pins there are a couple of things that you can do. The way that we're going to do today is we're going to take the piece that we want, we've given it a little bit of a half twist. I'm going to hold that. I'm going to insert my bobby pin in the hair. I never open my bobby pins because they're only meant to hold a certain amount of hair and if you open it past that point you're putting too much hair in the pin.
You want to kind of bump it up and down, zig zag it in there. That lets it grab onto the hair in many different places. Then you're going to take a second bobby pin and you're going to go the opposite direction. Again zig zag it in there. You're just wiggling it in there as you go. And that's going to cross over the other one so you're going to create a little bit of an X and create a nice lock.
