I'm going to show you a most elegant hairstyle right now. What I'm going to do is I'm going to separate, off the front of her face, kind of her fringe area. I'm just going to pin it lightly with a clip. Then I'm going to take a brush and I'm going to brush all of the hair up into a ponytail.
A good way to keep the nape of your neck really, really tight is to put your head slightly up. That tightens this area of the neck so you always get a really nice, smooth finish. I'm taking a natural boar bristle brush now that has no nylon in it. It's just all boar. I'm using that to smooth and shine up the hair.
Take your time with these steps, because it's easier to put the polish and the smoothness in right now instead of as you go. Now that I have the hair secure I'm going to use a clear elastic band to secure it. From that I'm going to brush the hair.
Then I'm going to place my finger flat here, and I'm actually going to start to pin into this shape. So, you're just taking your pins, and what I'm going to do is I'm just going to stick them in so that I can make sure that they're all kind of in the same area. Then one by one I'm just going to go through and push them down. Don't worry about being able to see your pins right now. Because we're going to flip the hair over. You won't be able to see it.
From this point you're going to take this hair and you're going to brush it back over the top of your hand. You're going to take it, once you get it smooth, and you are going to take the very ends around your finger and roll them up. Tuck it right there at the bottom.
Now what you're going to do is you're going to fan this shape out. At this point you can decide how big you want it and also if you want to be able to see it from the front. Now I'm just going to take, and I'm going to fold it in place. I'm going to pin the sides down where I want them.
This would be a great look for a formal wedding. It would also be great if you had a really elegant space.
Now I'm going to take the front and smooth it out also. I want it to swoop around her forehead. I'm going to take it and I'm going to attach a little pin right behind the ear. I'm just going to find a place to tuck it in. I'm going to tuck any loose ends in.
So, now that I have the style complete I'm just going to go through and polish it. What I need for that is a little hairspray, light touchable hairspray. You want to mist it on. Then you want to use the back of a comb to kind of smooth out anything that looks too frizzy. You want to lightly spray. Kind of smooth everything out. Make sure everything looks polished and nice. Also want to spray the back to touch up these.
So, this is a classic bun which is a very elegant hairstyle.
