How to Do the 2-Step Hip-Hop Dance Move

Learn how to do the two-step from professional dancer Charlene "Chi-Chi" Smith in this Howcast dance video.

So we've all had those times when we just don't know what to do on the dance floor. Or, maybe you don't even make it to the dance floor because you are just too afraid to get up because you don't know what to do. A perfect move in any case whenever that happens is the two-step. Always resort to your two-step.

Two-step is exactly how it sounds: two steps. We're going to go to the right. One, two together. Try it again to the left. One, two. Yes. And always keep your knees nice and soft. You can't groove with straight knees. You'll feel crazy. If you feel crazy you'll look crazy.

Let's try it again. Six, seven, eight. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two.

Now, you can always... I recommend always add arms. So, if it looks different it'll feel different. If it feels different it'll look different. Some people you'll see snapping. Pop, pop. You'll see them clapping. Clap, clap. Some people roll arms. My aunt does that. Roll arms.

You can use the two-step to move around. So, two-step, hah. Two-step, hah. I'm going to clap, hah. I'm going to clap, hah. I'm going to roll, hah. Roll, hah. Looks different, feels different. Let's try it with music. So you've got that clap in the music already.

Variations of the two-step. There you go. Hit the dance floor next time.
