Okay, let's make a shovel. So, first things first. I'm going to show you the recipe. You can take sticks, split the stack with a right click and you're going to put any of these on top. The weakest thing is going to be wood, wooden planks, and then from there, it's going to go cobblestone, iron, gold and diamond. Let's put these back and again, that's going to be wood, followed by cobblestone, followed by iron, followed by gold and diamond.
So, let's look at what these can actually do for you. The iron is going to be your basic one. It's the most common thing if you're looking for this and if you don't know how to mine that ore, we'll show you later but iron is the most common thing that's going to dig fairly fast and shovels are great for digging dirt, sand or gravel and then the gold one is actually going to be super-fast. The diamond is the strongest. You'll see that green bar pop up and it's going to tell you how much durability this thing has and you'll see the diamond one takes forever to go down. The gold one goes down pretty quickly but you can also see it digs much faster. So that's the trade-off with gold. It's very, very fast but it doesn't last very long. Iron's going to be right in between. You're going to probably use that most of the time and, just in case you don't know how to mine ore, you're going to need some ore and you're going to need some coal or you could also burn any kind of wood. You just drop it in here, let that go and out's going to come an iron ingot. Boom, there you go.
