Sometimes we have to be careful when we remove hair before or after a facial treatment. Usually it depends upon the type of facial that you're having.

If it's just your standard facial that you're getting, I always say just remove the hair beforehand because then you can have a nice relaxation.

But, if you're doing a more I guess more invasive type of a facial treatment I would suggest that you wait a period of time. A week or two.

So, if you're using a laser or very deep type of a glycolic wait two weeks afterwards to do any type of hair removal.

So, there's different types of facials and there's all different types of strengths of facials right now in the marketplace. If we're doing a basic facial I would say do your hair removal beforehand because you want it to be relaxing.

Then there's the glycolic. Depending upon what type of glycolic type facial that you're utilizing it can be anywhere from a week to two weeks afterwards.

If your skin's sensitive, no waxing. The other thing is there's a lot of intense pulse light or laser treatments. Those are the types where you ask your facialist or your dermatologist, "How long should I wait for afterwards to be doing any type of waxing or depilatory on the face?"

In my professional opinion if you're doing a basic glycolic I would wait about a week. If you're doing anything more invasive I would say two weeks or more.
