Realistically, when you're waxing you're taking a layer of the top off, the dead skin. So I always say to make sure that you wax beforehand. Also if you have sensitive skin, make sure your pores are closed. I wouldn't go get my whole leg waxed and my arms, then run in to get a spray tan or run to the beach.
Try to give yourself 24 hours in between that, not to say that you can't do it if you don't have sensitive skin. A lot of times people come in for a bikini wax and then they run over and do the spray tan with us also. It's a smaller area. You could handle it that way, but if it's a large area I always say just wait 24 hours.
Once again, if you look at it the opposite, if you have already gotten your tan, let's say you got a tan last week, it's going to be fine. It's going to be fine. You can actually get a wax. If it's the day before, you don't want to do it. Your skin very sensitive, and it could lead to little blotches over there. It's the same thing with the spray tan.
I always say wax first, then tan, because everybody has a different scenario, and we have to kind of make it into your lifestyle. So the first thing is if I'm doing my bikini area, that's OK. It's a smaller area. If I'm doing legs, which is a large area, I don't like going into the sun right afterwards. I also don't like to actually get a spray tan right afterwards. The reason is that your pores are open.
Sometimes, we have no choice, and we have to make a quick decision, but if we're going to be planning this out, I would do the wax first.
