How to Flick Serve in Badminton

Learn the flick serve from New York City Badminton's Chris Awong in this Howcast video.

Yet another variation of the serve, is called a Flick Serve. This is particularly useful, if your opponent is expecting you to serve short, and is very close up to the net, ready to pounce on that shuttle. But, if you believe that your opponent is moving forward, you can flick it unexpectedly over his head and put him in a very defensive position. Now Chibing is going to demonstrate, the classic flick serve.

As you will notice, there really is no difference in preparation for the flick serve versus the short serve, which adds very much to the deception of the shot. And that demonstrates your classic flick serve.
