This next technique is called kokyu nage, which is breath throw.
So if we do a basic version, I always am keeping the focus on my own center. So when I move her energy's coming straight through me, so I'm going to move my center so it's passing me by. And then, I'm going to come up and throw, cut my own center. As I come in, I'm dropping my weight and shifting my weight.
So she comes through. If she were to do like a ski, for instance, a punch, and she hit me, I just get out of the way. It's the same throw. If she were to do a strike I have to get out of the way. Do the same throw. This is really what I was doing.
So a side strike here, same throw. Always keeping the focus on my center, getting out of the way of the strike but using her energy, and she's off balance and I cut down.
That was kokyu nage, one of the most widely applied techniques.
