How to analyze and fine-tune your haircut.
Once you've finished your haircuts, what you want to do is just stand back, have a look, analyze if you've got the result you want, and then fine-tune any area that isn't really what you want. A great way to do that is to use the texturizing freehand techniques we've talked about earlier.
Once you've used those techniques, one length, layering, or graduation, and you need a little bit more finesse to the haircut, just simply lift the hair up, whether it's a man or a woman, and just diffuse the edges just by pointing and sliding through that area. It'll just give you a little bit more forgiveness. That can be done on men or women, it can be used on short hair or long hair, it doesn't matter. It's about standing back, looking at your client in the mirror, and using that whole peripheral vision that you have in front of the mirror to fine-tune.
That's how you analyze and fine-tune a haircut.
