The correct posture for your client when you're cutting hair; this is very important and I'm going to demonstrate in the chair. If your client is sitting like I am right now, and you cut a straight line across, once she gets up and walks out, it's going to be one side longer than the other. So, it's really important that you have your client sit upright in the chair, arms resting on the arm rest, legs straight and feet flat on the ground, with the head position slightly tilted down as your work; ultimately to achieve the correct posture for your client, that comes down to you. It's your responsibility when you're cutting someone's hair to oversee that, because the natural tendency of the person will be to cross their leg, or move their head, or turn their shoulders. To get the correct posture while you're cutting hair, you need to be in charge of that. That's the correct posture while cutting hair.
