So there's a couple of different ways that you can access the calves. And I showed you previously that you can access from this way. But you can also go ahead and place your hand underneath the ankle, lift the calf up. Some people actually sit on the table. And you can go ahead and just apply the pressure all the way down. You can do this from both sides. Squeezing that calf you can let it rest right there on your arm. And again just let your fingers sink right into that gastrocnemius muscle. Careful not to put too much pressure on the back of the knee, but really paying close attention to those origins and insertions down there at the bottom. Again all hard pressue on the limbs should go straight up directly towards the heart, but you can just do a nice little effleurage stroke when you place the foot back down. And that's how you work with the calves.
