Let's learn the basic samba step, the foot work. This is the basis for every samba dance class, so every different type of samba style that you're going to see forward, and to see yourself do this. So, basically, from this low, we're going to just learn how to get into this, shifting your weight from foot to foot. And then how to move a little bit faster with this samba step. The most important thing is the step one is on the head of the musical phrase and it's on the back. So, let's start one on the back. Step back one, take a small little step forward on two, and then bring together on three. And we're going to repeat the same thing on the left side, so left leg back. One, and together, right leg back. One, and together, left leg back. One and together, and right leg back. One, and together. So, you can keep your hands to your hips just so confused with the coordination with the arms yet. But just be really thinking of transferring the weight into that front foot from the back to the front and then bring it together. And to the back, and together. And back, and together. And back. And back, and back, and move a little bit faster. And...

One very important detail. Men, you should do the samba with the foot right on the floor. Women are always up on the balls of their foot. So, guys, flat shoes, girls, high heels. Let's do it again. To the back. One two three, one two three, one two three, and a little bit faster. And... and slide together, slide together, slide together. Basic samba foot work.
