I'm Adam Colbert, and this is my defend and counter drill. This puts all your defense maneuvers and your counter strikes together. Let's start with defense. Start your stance, duck, slip, slip, pull, step right, step left, step back, catch low, catch high, roll, catch low, catch high, and then slip out, step, and spin. One more time from the top. Start in your fighting stance, duck once, slip right, slip left, pull, step right, step left, step back, catch low, catch high, roll, catch low, catch high, roll, then step out, spin, then execute the series again. Duck, slip, slip, pull, step right, step left, step back, catch, catch, roll, catch, catch, roll, step out, and then again, and again, until you come back facing forward.

Now, we're going to add counters to those defensive maneuvers. Duck, throw two shots, right hand, left, slip right, right hand, left, slip left, liver shot, left hook, right hand, pull, right hand left hook, step right, right hand left hook, step left, liver shot again, left hook right hand, step back, right hand left hook, step back to make space, catch, catch, roll, right hand left hook, catch to the body, catch to the head, roll left, left hook, then make space, slip out, and execute again. When you bring those defensive maneuvers and add the counters, it creates a perfect counter combination. It creates muscle memory to defend and strike at your opponent in an instant. Those defense counter mechanisms work perfect when it comes to boxing, defense, and offense wrapped up in one.
