How to do a sumo deadlift for a sexy butt. So, for most deadlifts, people will use a barbell. But even if you don't have one you can still do it and you'll still feel it in the places where you should, which is the back of your legs, the hamstrings, and your glutes. This is perfect for beginners to do it without the weights. Once you start stepping it up a little bit, you could always add regular weights and then eventually a barbell if that's where you want to go with it.

But for your sumo deadlift, you're going to have your toes turned out slightly. Now, when you come down, your shoulders are rolled back and your chest is up. Posture is always key for this. You want to make sure that the shoulders are rolled back and the chest is up so you don't end up rounding out your body and then that could cause some injury in the lower back, or that kind of thing. So, you really want to keep the shoulders rolled back and the chest up.

Now, when you come down, you're going to come straight down. Again, a slight bend in the knees is okay, but you really want to feel a stretch in the back of that leg. You're going to come all the way down, then you're going to press through those heels and squeeze your butt up and under. So this is a little bit more of a concentration on a different area of the butt than the regular deadlift. So, again, your shoulders are rolled back, the chest is up.

You come all the way down and then take it right back up. Digging through those heels, your toes are slightly turned out. So I'll show you again on this side. Take it straight down, shoulders back, chest up, and then dig through those heels. Squeeze your butt. Make sure you tuck it up and under almost when you come up. So, again, down and up, and that's how you do a sumo deadlift for a sexy butt.
