So now we're going to do the Velvet Underground Andy Warhol Banana Cover. I'm just going to paint on the yellow outline of the banana. I try to follow the curvature of the nail the same way. Andy Warhol designed this for my favorite bands of all time, The Velvet Underground, to be one of their record covers, probably their most infamous record cover. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me. I'm going to go in with the neon yellow.
So the yellow has some depth to it. I'm going to go in with my black striper, my nail art brush, my super thin, long, the longer the better for this. Because when you're doing a curvature, you just want to have a lot of brush to move. So I'm just going to start by giving like a little darkness at the end and then sliding up the edge of the banana. With this, you don't have to have the stroke. You should have enough paint, so it gives an even stroke.
You want there to be some dimension to the outline, because again Warhol was all about the photocopy, just go in there and shade the banana. So if you put too much black or you feel like you went outside the lines a little, you can go right in with a white striper and just edge it. So that it all just blends in and does what you want to do. So even if you can't afford to buy your own Warhol, you can do it yourself. I'm sure Andy would support that.
