Hey, I'm Layla, and I'm going to show you some cardio kickboxing exercises to do to tone your thighs. Any kind of exercises that involve kicking you can combine with a lunge or a squat to really get more of a toning effect on those thighs. We can start off in a fighting stance, one leg in front of the other. Hands are up, and you can just shift your weight forward and back from one side to the other, just like this, warming your body up, really warming up those legs here. This is also a really good cardio little aspect to this routine.
From here, we're going to add a kick with the back leg and a lunge. Every five seconds, just count five seconds in your head of your bouncing around here, and then you're going to step forward with the back leg, do a front kick, and then come right back, lunge down. Get right back into that little forward-and-backward movement here, then, again, kick with that back leg and lunge right back down. Back into that little movement. Again, kick the back leg and lunge right down.
You can also do a squat kind of exercise with that. You can do a fun kick into a side squat this way, and then also get back into that forward-and-backward movement. Front kick, and then a side lunge out to the side. All of these exercises are really going to target the thighs, anytime you do a kick combined with those squats, those lunges. It's also going to get that heart rate going, every time you're bouncing around in that fighting stance.
I've been doing martial arts ever since I was five, so for about 19 years. It's my life, my passion. I think it's one of the best exercises. Any kind of martial arts, it can be kickboxing. I think it's the best workout for all-around cardio, toning. It's just going to get you in shape the quickest. There's aspects of cardio in traditional Karate, Muay Thai, and kickboxing that you don't get in other exercises.
