The first trick I'm teaching you today is called the Throw Down. And this is a really important trick to master, because it is the basis of all tricks to come. Before starting out the Throw Down, you want to have the yo-yo positioned within your palm correctly.
With your palm facing up, you want the string to wrap around behind the yo-yo, instead of under the yo-yo. The position you want your arm in, is like you're flexing your muscle, like so. With your arm in the flexed position, you want to extend your elbow, and your wrist, before you throw it. And when the yo-yo reaches the bottom of the string, you want to turn your wrist and give it a tug. Comes right back up to your hand. And that's how you do the Throw Down.
