How to Do a Calf Crush Leg Lock

All right, guys. Now I'm going to show you how to do a calf crush. I'm going to show you the very basic calf crush, without giving you an entrance, so you can see the mechanics of it. So the way to practice it is our partner's going to sit. I'm going to lay down on his back and we're going to be in a reverse mount. Now a lot of times when I grab this leg, he's going to think I'm going for a knee bar. So he's going to triangle his legs here.

So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take one of my legs, stick my right leg, come over the top, apply more pressure, and then cross my feet. I'm going to be squeezing down this heel to his butt, then pointing my thumb to the sky, so he has the blade of my foreman almost to the top of his knee. That's causing a lot of pressure on the calf and on the knee. We'll get into setups for that later, but that's how you do a calf crush.
