So, now we're going to learn to make a beautiful lotus flower. And, I like to use a beautiful, white, crisp napkin for this one.
So, we're going to start off with your square. And, you're going to angle up to the corner, the right corner to the left. You're going to crease that line in the middle.
You're going to do the same to the other side. Give yourself a nice little crease. So, this will give you some points for when we're folding the corners upright to the center to follow.
So, let's start off with the bottom-right. We're going to fold up to the center point. Make a nice crease. We'll continue around. Just give it a nice crease here because we'll have nice, crisp edges.
Then, once you have your diamond shape, you're going to flip it over. Keep your centers together. So then, you're going to take your corners and fold up to the center again. And, these triangles will meet in the center. So, you're creating a square.
So, what you're going to do now, is going to take the upper-right hand corner and, you're going to lift this corner up to the center. And, you're going to reach behind. And, you're going to look for that underneath point.
So, again, we'll just do it one more time. We're going to fold up to the center, reach your hand under, and look for that outside flap. And, you're going to gently pull that out and over, and press the other triangle corner down.
You're going to do a gentle lift to create your lotus flower petals. So, you're going to do that all the way around. You're going to gently lift up, look for that corner, give it a little tug up, and your petals will start to form. Just a gentle lift will do it. We'll do the last one.
And you can, kind of, rearrange your corners to the center. Now, you have your beautiful lotus flower. So, we can apply it to the dish, carefully.
