Regardless of the pet snake that you have, number one you're going to have to have a terrarium or an aquarium that is large enough and that seals at the top, because remember that these guys are escape artists and they are strong enough to push the lid off. So you need the proper aquarium and your pet's shop manager will be able to help you with that.
You're going to need heating source, because all snakes need a temperature grade. You'll need the heat pads that go underneath and the heat sources that goes on top. You're going to need thermometers that go where the snakes live on the bottom, to make sure that the heat gradient is proper, where it's warmer on one side and less on the other.
You're going to need a proper substrate, which your pet shop owner can help you with that, as well. Either bark mulch, aspen mulch and shadings, never ever use aromatic woods, it's very important that you don't do that, astroturf for covering. A common question is do I need the ultraviolet light for snakes?
Really, the real answer is research shows that you really don't, but it doesn't hurt if you have one, but you do not need it. You do need a light source and remember that most of these guys are nocturnal or they're active around dusk and dawn, so they don't need a night light, so those are some of your basic pet supplies that you're going to need for your pet snake.
