I'm going to show you guys some basic bar skills. When you first walk into a gym when you're young this skill is called the skin the cat. It's probably one of the first things that you were taught as a kid. And essentially what it is, is you're going to grab the bar with both hands, after you put some chalk on. You're going to lift your legs over, under the bar around the back side of you.Keep your arms holding onto the bar and grab the floor. So this is what it looks like. Put your legs up into your chest, around the bar, nice.

That was called a skin the cat. After you learn the skin the cat, you can learn a chin-up pullover. What it takes is you've got to be strong and you've got to pull yourself above into a chin-up and pull your legs up to your chest, over the bar and to a front support. Now once you get on the top of the bar you can begin to learn skills like front hip circles and back hip circles. Yuri is going to show us a back hip circle. Nice, that was really nice, so those are three basic bar skills.
