So today I'm going to show you how to do a braided chignon. This is a really nice look, either day or night. So we're going to start by putting your hair into a high ponytail. What you're going to want to do is tilt your head back. By tilting your head back, you're going to avoid having any bumps or lumps or sagging in the back.
With this look, you're going to want to keep it nice and slick and just tie it off with an elastic. You have a nice tight pony now. So from here you're going to split the hair into three sections, and just do a standard braid, nice and tight, twisting the middle piece toward the out side all the way down. You want to take this braid as far down as you possibly can go, because the less excess hair you have to tuck in the better.
Just tie that off. Now from here, we're just going to take the braid and just twist it around the base of the ponytail. We're going to use bobby pins and just pin as we go. Now you can move the bun around, if you notice that some sides are a little bit fuller than others. You can just pull out a few pieces to make it nice and full, and that's your braided chignon.
