So deep fried ice cream, it's a real pain to make. We don't do it here because it's so much of a pain. I appreciate that you maybe not have a tub of ice cream this big at home and you may want to use a scoop. I use my hands, just because it's easier and it's a big tub.
What you need to do. The first step is just to make the balls of the ice cream. Then you have to refreeze it for 24 hours. Then you can start bread crumbing it. It's a real process, otherwise it will just melt right away. So I'm just going to make four of these up and put them in the freezer for tomorrow. I guess you could use different flavors. It's not our thing, but I know a lot of people who love this.
And it has to be bread crumbed, not battered, because the bread crumbs adhere better and you actually breadcrumb them three times before you fry them. That's it for the ice cream. I'm going to put a lid on this. I'm going to throw it back in the freezer, so they freeze really hard and tomorrow they'll be ready to start bread crumbing.
