Hi, I'm Chris Sell. I'm the owner of the Chip Shop. I've been living in Park Slope for 23 years. I had the Chip Shop for 12 years. We opened another Chip Shop on Atlantic Avenue seven years ago and we're looking at spots in Manhattan at the moment. My mission in life is to bring British food to the people of Brooklyn and Manhattan and have fun doing it.

I take myself not very seriously. Obviously, driving a car like this, I can't. But I take my business incredibly seriously. Chip Shop's been really lucky. We were credited with frying the first Twinkie, which was a huge promotional boost for us. We were lucky enough to get the 30th best restaurant in the Travel Channel's Chowdown Countdown. I fried Wendy Williams's wig. I was on the Jerry Nachman Show, Deep-Fried Paradise, Extreme Pig-Outs.

We've been really, really fortunate with the press. It's nice to have a distraction when you work in the sort of shifts I work and this has provided a very welcome distraction for me.
