I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how to use coupons to save on travel.
So, I'm pretty sure we're all getting fairly adept at using travel comparison sites, to save more on our flights or our hotels, right? So we go out to sites like Travelocity, or Expedia, and we compare the costs of a flight or the hotel, and ultimately try to book the cheapest that we can find.
But the thing is, is that it doesn't end there. There are other ways to save even more, in your travel expenses. One of them is to potentially find a coupon. Now, these are rare, but there are times when sites like Travelocity or Expedia might have coupons that you can apply, and save a fair amount at that end to check out.
Additionally, there are websites like Shopathome.com that offer cash back on those purchases. And travel purchases, because they are more expensive, that cash back can add up quite quickly.
I took a trip recently and booked it through Hotels.com. And my hotel, it was in Taos, New Mexico. I stayed for a few days, and I think I got about $60 in cash back. That's real savings. And if you're not doing that, you're really just leaving money on the table.
So, there's just some quick tips on how to use coupons when you're booking your travel.
