So if you want to make your eyes bigger with makeup, here's some tips for you. The first thing I like to do is use inner rim brightener. Today, I'm going to use white. There are other colors. There's some flesh types of tones. White is going to pop the most, so let's see how this looks. So what we're going to do is pull down the lid just a little bit, and this line right inside. So, you want to be really gentle with this area because it is very close to the eye. Don't be afraid. If you're using darker colors on the inside, it's just going to close the eye in.
So, first apply the white. There's other tips too based on how you're applying your eyeshadow. Usually if you want your eye to look bigger, you can either apply the shadow to the outer side of the eye depending on your eye shape. So, let's take a look at Beautiful Maddie. One thing you can do is kind of look. So, if you want to know whether your eyes are closed-set or wide-set, you take the size of your eye, now this is not precise at all, you put right in. She has very balanced eyes, so really what we're going to do is I'm going to concentrate some shadow on this outer side of the eye. It's going to open the eyes and broaden them this way.
Just for the sake of it, I'm going to take a little bit of brown shadow, just something really natural so you can kind of see the basic idea. I'm just kind of doing a little bit in the crease. I'm going to actually sweep the shadow up this way to broaden it out. So, stir in the crease and take it upwards. If you're following this line from the lash line, that's kind of the angle you're going at. I'm going to take a little into the corner here, too. Always make sure everything's blunt and smooth. That is the key.
So, that's just very basic, so you can see where I'm applying it and how. One other tip to kind of make the eyes look a little bit bigger is to use a highlighter color. I'm actually going to take a nice kind of brighter highlight. I'm going to start it at the brow bone. We actually previously highlighted the brows on the top and bottom. That's going to open the eyes as well. We just used a brow highlighter, but you can use any type of concealer. We used something mat and we stroked it right on the top and bottom, cleaned up the brows, and does actually open the eyes a little bit more. Framing the brows makes a huge difference.
One of the other things for making the eyes look a little bigger and wider is placing the highlight right in this inner corner here. It really makes a big difference. I'm going to sweep it over, nothing too precise. We're just using some nice neutral colors. This is a really awesome every day type of look. You don't need too much going on. This will just kind of widen the eyes. And that's how to make your eyes look bigger with makeup.
