How to do the arms for the breaststroke. A good way to practice the arms for the breaststroke is to isolate the arm movement and just focus on the arm repetitions itself. There are two great drills that you can do for the arms. One is practicing the arms with a regular freestyle kick, you can do it on interval of every six kicks, kick six times with your legs. One, two, three, four, five, six; and then pull and breathe right after the sixth kick. One, two, three, four, five, six; pull, breathe and shoot forward.

Another great drill for the arms is doing it with a butterfly kick, you can do four dolphin kicks to help you practice your arms as well. One, two, three, four; pull breathe and shoot forward with your arms. One, two, three, four; pull, breathe and shoot forward with the arms. This will help you really focus on getting the proper breaststroke pull and keeping your arms in front of you without thinking too much about how to do the breaststroke kick and pulling all of the components together for the breaststroke.
