Ashley: Hey, This is Ashley and Henri, and right now we're going to teach to you how to do funky salsa easy.

Henri: Yes. We're going to show you the pattern first, and then we're going to break it down for you. Okay. So here's how it's going to go. We're going to do a double handhold, and we do basic. And one, two, three, five, six, seven, one, two, three, five, six, seven, and one, two, three.

Ashley: So breaking that down, basically all we're doing is a salsa basic, simple enough. What we're adding a body roll element to it. So just make it a little bit more funky than the basic. Yeah? So we start with the basic, moving back for the girl, forward for the guy. One, two, three, five, six, seven. We're going to open on one, back break, and the guy's going to set up. So this is similar to the showoff, but now he's inviting me, and we're going to come through into the roll. Yeah. And you could stay there. You could double-roll, or you could keep rolling. Rolling. Make it as funky as you want. Yeah. So just let's repeat that slowly. You have your basic. One, two, three, five, six, seven. Open, one, two, three, five, six, seven. Yep. And we're back to the basic.

Henri: Yeah. For the guys, in order to lead this it's kind of the same setup as the showoff. So you do the basic step. One, two, three, five, six, seven. But here you're going to go back on the one so that you're going to create that little connection, little tension feeling in the arms. So you do the basic. One, two, here guys, you're going to put the palms of your hands slightly up so she knows, "Oh, wait. Something is going to happen." And from here you do your body wave. So you do your body, and then ladies are going to kind of connect to the visual , and your hands are connected with them.

Ashley: And I feel Henri giving me kind of a little feeling of, "Come on." And that's what invites me to go in and say, "Okay."

Henri: See. It's almost like you connect the wrist to your hand, and then that little motion, they feel it. Right? So you have to be really sensitive to the connection. And then after we do the body wave, the only thing we do to get back out of it is with the basic. One, two, three, five, six, seven.

Ashley: Yep. So let's try that with music.

Henri: Yes.

Ashley: Five, six, seven, and, one, two, three, five, six, seven, one, two, three, five, six, seven. One, two, three, five, six, seven, one, two, three, five, six, seven. One, two, three, five, six, seven, one, two, three, five, six, seven. One, two, three, five, six, seven.

Henri: And that's how you do. . .

Ashley: . . .funky salsa easy.
