To do a vertical jump through, you're going to start in your hand roll. With your thumb out. Your palm facing forward. The hoop is rotating forward on the right side of my body. Palm is forward.
Then, notice when the hoop touches your palm. When it touches your palm you're going to grab the hoop. You're going to cross, continue the rotation and cross the hoop over on the left side of your body.
And when your hoop is on the left side of your body, you're going to step through one foot at a time. And then keep the hoop vertical as you lift it up over your head and then push it forward to continue your hand roll.
So, one more time. Breaking that down slowly. Grab. Cross to the left side. Step through with your left foot first. Keep the hoop vertical as it comes over your head and continue your hand roll.
A little bit faster. Grab. Cross. Step through. Hand roll. Faster. Then when we get this going faster, it looks really nice.
So I'll do this facing the other way just to show you what my left side is doing. Palm. Palm. Grab. Cross step through and hand roll.
And that's how you do a vertical jump through.
