For vertical chest hooping, you're going to keep the hoop on your upper chest. Knees are soft. Feet are slightly wider than hip distance apart. You're going to bend forward. Notice how my back is nice and straight, and the motion of the hoop comes from your knees.
I'm going to do a little bit of pressing down with my upper back and chest, but most of the motion is going to come from your knees bending, and making the hoop go up and down.
So, I've got my hoop on a vertical plane. It's slightly on an angle. You can always bend over forwards more, if I have a really flat back then I can keep the hoop nice and vertical. But you can play around with it. Okay.
So, giving the hoop a nice push, and pressing down with my knees bending; it's helpful to keep the arms out of the way. Extending the elbows, I'll show what this looks like from the front. This is a better view.
That's how we do vertical chest hooping.
