My name is Shane Paul Neil from City Coach Multisport and I'm going to be talking about how you can become a faster sprinter.
There really is no magic bullet to becoming a faster sprinter. A lot of it has to do with genetics, so your parents will determine a lot of what your ability will be in terms of sprinting. But depending on what your ability levels are, consistent training is key.
Finding a coach who is well versed in track and field technique, rules and training is also very important, as well as finding as team or group of training partners within your range who will help you get faster. I generally have a saying: If you're the fastest person in the room, you need to find a new room. Weight training can be a very important component of becoming a faster sprinter as well because your overall strength will help determine your speed.
Again, the faster you can move your arms and your legs, the faster you'll move, but a lot of that comes down to muscle strength. There are a variety of running drills that you can do in order to improve your form and improve your reflexes to become a faster sprinter as well. They are fairly straightforward and fairly easy but the more that you do them, the more it will help you overall as a sprinter. And those are some tips on how to sprint faster.
