Hey, this is Adrian Ashby here. I’m your bacon expert here with Howcast. And, I just want to tell you a little bit about myself. Born and raised in Queens, New York, and I’ve always loved being in the kitchen, being raised by my grandmother and my mother. I’ve watched them work magic during the holidays and during Sunday dinners from start to finish.
One of my fondest memories was learning how to first, interestingly enough, cook bacon. I’ve always loved cooking. It’s always been a great release. And, it’s always been one of those things where no matter what happens during the course of the day, I’m able to forget about everything else once I’m in the kitchen working with my ingredients and putting together a great meal for friends and family alike.
Something else that’s come up in recent years has been competing. A lot of the competing I’ve done has been citywide. It’s involved such items such as duck, gumbo, chili, macaroni & cheese, and meatballs, to name a few. And, one of the things I enjoy about competing is the comradery, the trash talking, and the ego boast that it provides for me. When I’m, excuse my French, kicking ass and taking names, that’s even better.
