Hi, I'm Ruben Belliard from Warrior Fitness Boot Camp, here in New York City. Today I'm going to show you how to do a push plank.
We're going to start from the plank position. So we're going to come down on our forearms, back to straight, shoulders over our elbows.
Key thing with this, we're going to push up. I don't want to push up with my hands from this position. I'm going to take my left hand, place my palm where my elbow is at. At that point I'm going to push up, and the same thing with my other hand. I always replace my palms with my elbow, and as I go down, I replace my elbow with my palm. That's how I put a push plank. Push up, rotate, push it up.
When we're performing the push plank, I always want to take my palm, and replace it where my elbow is at with my left hand. The same thing with my right. Hold that push up position.
On the way down, I'm going to do the opposite. I'm going to take my elbow, and put it where my palm is at. It should be down in the plank position. When we do that, you want to make sure you always have that good relationship between your shoulder and your elbow. Make sure your back is always straight as you do a push plank.
