Hi. I'm Alex Fell from Warrior Fitness Boot Camp in New York City. Today I'm going to show you how to do a jumping pullup. A jumping pullup is a great way to help you build the strength in order to be able to do a real pullup without jumping. So all you want to do, again, you're going to approach the bar, and you're going to explode up and grab that bar and pull your chin over it. Okay. Again, you're going to squat down.
You're going to jump up, grab that bar, keep everything nice and tight, put your chin above the bar. Then jump back down. Okay. You're going to jump up, chin above the bar, release. Okay. Now another way to help build up to that full pullup is you're going to jump up. Grab the bar. Put your chin above it, and slowly lower your body back down. You can start with a three-count and work your way up to a six-count. You're going to jump up. Count one, two, three, then back down. And as you progress, you count to six. One, two, three, four, five, and six. Okay. And that way, with repetition and consistency you'll be able to build up the strength in order to work your way up to a full pullup.
