Hi, I'm Ruben Belliard from Warrior Fitness Boot Camp here in New York City and today we're going to go over how to do a total body workout without any equipment at all. Sometimes you don't have any equipment so, hey, this is a way to think about 'I still want to get a workout but have nothing around me' and I would say pick four workouts and four body parts you want to work out that day. So, let's say we start with pushups; we'll designate one as pushups, one will be crunches, one will be squats, and one will be squat thrusts.
All you have to do is tell yourself 'I'm going to do ten pushups' and pick a repetition; ten, twenty, or thirty. You know, whatever your fitness level allows make a goal. Pick a goal so you know how far you've got to go and then tell yourself 'I'm going to do 25 of each and then take a two minute break'. Or, you can say 'I'm going to do one minute worth of each and take a two minutes break'. It doesn't necessarily have to be a two minute break. You can just go right into the next round. So, you want to make sure you pick exercises that hit different muscle groups, though.
That's why we picked the pushups, the crunches, the squats, and some squat thrusts, because that's going to help you get a total body workout in a minimum amount of space and a minimum amount of time. So, those are the key elements you need and the possibilities are endless because there are so many exercises out there that don't require equipment, machines, or anything like that.
