This is how you Create Color Groups in Adobe Illustrator.

In your Illustrator window, you'll notice that, again, on the right hand side you have your Windows Panels.

Now, when you're creating color groups, essentially its like grouping objects in your Illustrator window. You want to keep them together so that you keep yourself organized.

A real simple way to do it is that when you go over to your Swatches Panel, you'll notice down underneath at the very base of the panel you've got some options here. And one of them looks like a folder, and that's how you can create a new color group.

So when you click that folder, you'll notice that a window comes up and it says "New Color Group" and you can name it, let's say, let me name it "Fantastic".

And a new little folder has appeared in this window. And if you hover over it, you'll see the new name that you created.

And what you can do now is you can actually drag colors. Let's say yellow and we're going to click that swatch and drag it in that window. And let's say we make a greenish one, click it, drag it in there. Now, the Fantastic color group has green, yellow and red.

You can also figure out whether or not you want to keep these colors.

You can click another new color group by the Drop Down Menu, and let's say we name this "Amazing". Now you have a new color group.

So the options you have to creating the color groups are by the folder icon, following the Swatches at the bottom, or click on the Drop Down Menu and you go to New Color Group and then you just name it, your folder pops up, click your Swatch, drag it in there, or you click your new Swatch button at the bottom of the panel window. Click OK. It will automatically add that to the existing group that you selected.

And that's how you create color groups in Adobe Illustrator.
