Hey guys, Gypsy from the Skate Trunk NYC. Today we are going to talk about how to do a power slide on you roller blades. A power slide starts off in the backwards skating position in your Zorro stance. So, you're going to have your knee bent, all your weight is going to be, pretty much, forward.
A nice straight line all the way down to your wheels. Your core is tight so that you don't twist and your shoulders are straight ahead. We're actually skating backwards when we do our power slide. Starting from forwards to backwards.
You're actually going to slide just a little bit out and then, as you come to a stop, your feet will come back into the T-position. So, before you turn around backwards, you're going to utilize a little turn and to get into your Zorro stance. Okay? So, this is what is looks like when you're rolling.
