How to Do a No Comply on a Skateboard

Learn how to do a no comply from competitive skateboarder Nate Cohen in this Howcast skateboarding video.

How you're gonna wanna do your no comply 180 is by taking your front foot, putting it on the ground to the side of your board, generally, you're gonna do it to the right of your board. Some people like to do it to it to the left. Again, it's all about preference. Once you do have your right foot on the ground, you're gonna wanna pop your tail and spin it around to the right. It's very important that you get enough pop that you can jump it in the air and still land on the board. You wanna make sure you land right over your bolts. It's a very simple trick. Some people even think it's easier than a regular no comply and it's probably because it is.

Now, when you're doing this trick, again, you wanna make sure you have enough scoop. You don't wanna overscoop it, like you would with a 360 no comply or a milkshake. You wanna have it under control, you wanna have it under your feet, you wanna make sure you know where it's going. You don't wanna spend too much time on the ground with your feet because it just will take away from the aesthetic of this trick.

If you wanna get a little higher with your no comply or no comply over obstacles, all you have to do is put a little bit more pressure into your tail and that'll be enough to get your over. So, again, if you need to get some more height, you need to get around or over something, pop it a little bit more, make sure you get that scoop, don't overscoop and make sure you stick that ending right over the bolts as usual. And that's how you do a no comply 180.
