How you're gonna wanna do your tornado spin is, for starters, being comfortable doing a boneless. Now, before I go any further, I just wanna say that this is something I like to do. I find it fun and I just happen to call it tornado spin because I couldn't find anyone else who's out there doing this trick. Some people even call it the Nate especial. But what I like to do is grab the board with my right hand, reaching over to the side. Once you do have the board in your hand, you wanna toss it, grab it, put your hand directly over the nose, place it on the ground and start your spin. I generally like to spin to the right, in the same direction I started my spin initially and then if you feel comfortable, you can kind of take this trick to the next level and spin to the left once you've put it on the ground.
So again, you're gonna reach across with your right hand, board in the center, toss it, grab it on the nose again, put it on the ground and go for a nice spin either to the right or the left, whichever you're more comfortable with. You really wanna be careful with this trick because if the board gets out of your hands, ends up hitting your buddy in the face, it's not gonna be fun for either of you. So, be very careful. Make sure you have a nice, solid grip.
Some people like to put their hand right in the center when they're doing a boneless. I like to do the same when I'm doing this trick. I like to make sure that my thumb is really good into the grip tape. Make sure that you have enough room in between yourself and wherever you're going to actually toss the board up and catch it. You might wanna try just doing that a few times out in the park with plenty of space, making sure that nobody's around. Now also, remember when you toss it out, don't let it get to far away from you. You wanna keep it nice and close. Once you do grab it with your left hand, get that right hand right over the nose, put it straight to the ground. You'll have the most difficulty transitioning from one maneuver to the other, but eventually, you'll get it to sync together and that's how you do the tornado spin.
