Okay, this time we're going to take it from a Collar and Elbow or the Referee's Position and go to a Duck Under. That's one of the leading ways to get behind an opponent so you can gain control over him, and we'll show you right here how it's done.
Come on, guys.
Collar and Elbow, ducks under the elbow. If we can do it one more time, a little slower just so we can explain it a little bit better.
Go ahead and lock up.
Okay, he's pushing this arm up out of the way, ducking under the armpit. Okay, swinging behind, so he's ducking under, gaining control.
Okay, one of the things you don't want to do is let him get under your elbow. Okay? Because then he's going to get behind you and get control. If he does, that gives him the upper hand.
One of the things you do want to accomplish is the Duck Under. Get behind the guy and get a grip on him like a Waist Sock or a Full Nelson or a Hammerlock or a Twist and Wrist lock that we'll show a little bit later on.
You always want to get behind your opponent so you can grab a grip or a hold on him, that way you control him.
And like I said earlier, you do not want to let that wrestler get behind you and get that hold because then you'll have to fight again for control or at least an escape.
