Hi. My name is Jesse Kramer. I'm the Co-Founder and Executive Chef of Brooklyn Taco Company, one of Brooklyn's and New York's top taquerias. We serve modern takes on authentic Mexican food, particularly street food, so we have tacos, tamales, chips and guac, salsas, everything that's really fun and visually attractive about Mexican food.
I went to culinary school in 2007. It was French Culinary Institute. I think once I moved to Brooklyn I just fell in love with the food that I didn't even know existed and it's the simplicity, it's the powerful ingredients, the rusticness of it, and how everyone loves it. You can be rich, you can be poor, you can be from any different country, and tacos kind of bring everybody together and it's one of those humbling food that, it's so minimal it can totally make your day. You can spend $80 on a plate at John George and be let down, and spend $3 on a al pastor taco and it just blows you away and you're totally satisfied.
