Have you ever wondered what kind of food is better for your cat dry food or can food. You are not alone there is a lot of confusion in pet parents about whether dry food or canned food is better. And it is difficult to tell from shopping at the grocery store or at the pet shop. The things to keep in mind are the pros and cons of each. For instance, dry food is very convenient and many people find out that convenience is the most important things when feeding there cat. It also doesn't smell as much as canned food and it is nice and shelf stable so one bag could last you a long time as opposed to opening a can of food that you used at least in 24 hours.

The other nice thing about dry food is it always you to use puzzle toys much more easily then canned food. And puzzle toys such as this one where you put dry food inside and you let the cat work for all of their meals are one of the great ways to have your get stay enriched and your cat out of trouble. However, many veterinarians are very happy with the health benefits of canned food vs. dry in fact they suggest the dry food doesn't really help your cats teeth that much at all and instead you should be focusing on our cats urinary tract health and their kidneys. This is a common problem in cats especially as they age and it is really important to make sure that system is healthy.

So whenever it's possible it is a great idea to feed your cat canned food and if you want to you can add a little bit of extra water to make it extra healthy. And that's the difference between canned and dry food.
