Hi, Lisa here and I'm going to show you how to make and use keyboard shortcuts. So first, what we're going to do is we're going to go into our settings, you go to general, and then you go down until you get to keyboard. Once you're in here, at the bottom, you're going to see keyboard shortcuts. There's automatically set up for you one for on my way, and it's set up as a shortcut is OMW.
You can also make new ones yourself. At the bottom it says add new shortcuts and you type in what the phrase will be. So that's what you want it to actually read. So maybe for talk to you later, you don't want to have to write all that out. So you type in talk to you later, and then under the shortcut you're going to type in the short part, what you do want to type for that. In this case, we'll write TTYL. Then you hit save in the top right hand corner. Now that's saved in there. So now, if you go to a note, and we type in TTYL, we'll see that whole phrase expand and when you hit the space bar, it inserts that.
So for any phrases that you write really frequently, maybe your email, something that you don't want to have to type every time, this is a great way to have a shortcut to get you there quickly. And that's how you make keyboard shortcuts on the iPhone.
