Transcript
So you're looking to save money on an engagement ring, there's a few options. You don't have to buy a great big diamond.
You can buy a great big colored stone if you like, or a semi-precious stone and have it set in a beautiful diamond setting.
You could buy a diamond band, which is a very big look for your money.
One of my favorite suggestions when someone doesn't want to buy a solitaire.
You could go for an interesting color combination. Like this tourmaline and yellow diamond so you have the benefits of diamonds, but your big central stone is a semi-precious stone. So, again, a really big look for a little bit less money.
You could shop for an estate or an antique ring, perhaps a cluster shape with a little cluster of diamonds, which is absolutely beautiful and tasteful.
Then, if you really have your heart set on a big diamond, go to the jeweler, and don't be afraid to negotiate.
Another way to save on a great engagement ring, if you're lucky enough to have an inherited stone, take it to your jeweler and create a beautiful one-of-a-kind setting.
So, those are a few tips on how to save money on an engagement ring.
