Will My PlayStation 3 Games Play on PlayStation 4?

Find out if your PS3 games will play on PS4 from expert gamer Rob Pimentel in this Howcast video.

So, will the PS4 play PS3 games? You've got a PS3, now you've got a PS4.
You wanna pack it away and you wanna take those gave with ya and play them.
Unfortunately, the answer is you can't do that. The PS3 and the PS4 operate
on two separate architectures and that, sort of, creates this problem and
in order to make it work, you would have to essentially put a PS3 in a PS4,
which would obviously increase the price of it.

The good news is that isn't the end of the story there. Sony had purchased
a company called Gaikai and they're going to be introducing this service
hopefully in the fall of 2014 and what that service is is the way Netflix
streams movies directly to your television or your box, Gaikai will stream
Playstation 3 games directly to your PS4. So, there is hope that in the
coming months, you'll be able to play PS3 games.

Now, whether you'll have to rent them all over again, whether you'll have
to buy them, those details aren't really out there right now, so we don't
really know. At least we know that Sony is looking into it and they wanna
make sure that, whether you're just getting into gaming for the first time
or you have games that you still wanna play from last gen, you'll have some
sort of solution to playing PS3 games on a PS4.
