When determining whether or not you're an ideal candidate for rhinoplasty or nose job surgery, it's important to consider your expectations.
There's no way to replace one's nose with someone else's nose. However, if there are certain things about one's nose that bother a person, then there are often things we can do to improve them. So, while I commonly tell patients that I can't give them someone else's nose, I often tell them that I can make their nose look better or improve upon the things that bother them.
So, the most important thing in the ideal candidate for a rhinoplasty is that they have reasonable expectations. There are many things that we can do in rhinoplasty surgery, but we can not perform miracles and we can not give someone a nose that is incredibly different from what they started with.
