By What Age Should a Child Be Toilet Trained?

Find out by what age a child should be toilet trained in this Howcast video featuring potty training specialist Ashley Hickey.

[Music] So let’s talk about when your child should be trained. It's typically a good idea to work on potty training between the ages of two and three. This is important so that they can be a part of the community, so they can go to school, so they can do ballet, they can be part of a soccer team, or they can go swimming in the community pool. But they have to be able to be potty trained to do those activities. Most kids are capable of being potty trained by the age of three. Some kids are potty trained way before the age of three. Some kids are potty trained after the age of three, and that's okay. All kids are different, but it's really important that if you start potty training that you get them trained by the time that they turn three years old. If your child is already three, that doesn't mean that it's too late to potty train them. You can go ahead and start now and still get the potty train, so they can be part of the community. [Music]
