Skyrim Dark Brotherhood Walkthrough Part 17 - Hail Sithis! [Commentary / HD]

Check out this Skyrim Dark Brotherhood walkthrough. Part 17: Hail Sithis!

Player: All right. Moving on. I guess both of these staircases go to the same place. Oh, joy of joys. A Masterlevel lock.

Emperor Titus Mede II: And, once more, I prove Commander Maro the fool. I told him you can't stop the Dark Brotherhood, never could.

Player: You're not going to run away or anything?

Emperor Titus Mede II: Come now, don't be shy. You haven't come this far just to stand there gawking. But of course. You and I have a date with destiny. But so it is with assassins and emperors, hm? Yes, I must die. And you must deliver the blow. It is simply the way it is. But I wonder, would you suffer an old man a few more words before the deed is done?

Player: All right, talk.

Emperor Titus Mede II: I thank you for your courtesy. You will kill me and I have accepted that fate. But regardless of your path through life, I sense in you a certain ambition. So I ask of you a favor, an old man's dying wish. While there are many who would see me dead, there is one who set the machine in motion. This person, whomever he or she may be, must be punished for their treachery. Once you've been rewarded for my assassination, I want you to kill the very person who ordered it. Would you do me this kindness?

Player: Well, if it involves killing someone, sure.

Emperor Titus Mede II: Thank you. Now, on to the business at hand I suppose, hmm?

Player: Wow. Okay. He's just going to turn his back to us. [foreign language] I'm going to take a sweet roll, too. The key from his body also allows us to open this door and there's some good stuff in here. And this chest has some random magical loot for you. Helps lockpicking. Did you not just see me lockpick the Masterlock getting here? Doing pretty good. Some jewelry in there. Hey, let's take a quick nap. No, can't sleep here. All right, fine. We're out. Just jump off here. Nice night for a little swim. We return now to White Run to speak to Amound and let him know the deed is done.

Braith: How did you do that?

Hulda: Come on in. Let me know if you need anything or take a seat by the fire and I'll send someone over.

Sam: If you're looking for a challenge, you've come to the right place.

Amound: Aha! You're back.

Player: I am.

Amound: I know. I know. I received the news not moments ago. This is glorious! My friend, you may not realize it but you have served the Empire. Indeed all of Tamriel, in ways you cannot possibly imagine. But you care little for politics, am I right? You want money. And money you shall have. Your payment waits for you at a dead drop. It is inside an urn in the very chamber where we first met, in Volunruud. Now please, go. Collect your money and let us never look upon one another again. Our business, thank the gods, is concluded.

Player: Not entirely done.

Amound: Your payment awaits. And don't worry, I'm not stupid enough to betray you. And what might that be? You assassins and your riddles. It really does get very annoying you know. Now if you'll excuse me...

Player: Going somewhere?

Amound: Oh, for the love of Mara, would you please just go?

Player: He's got a bunch of gems. You can try to pickpocket but I haven't been working on that skill so I'm just going to go ahead and kill him.

Amound: But we had a deal.

Player: Deal's changed. Hey, who opened the door?

Sam: If you're looking for a challenge, you've come to the right place.

Player: Well, we're headed back to Volunruud to pick up our payment. Hopefully he actually has payment there and not left a bunch of traps. Well, well, it's not a trap after all. It's 20,000 gold. How about that? Let's go tell Thridog the good news. He and Bebet are at the Downstar Sanctuary. The old ones got like a rat problem. We got to fumigate it. Also it's totally burned down and everyone's dead. So we can take our shortcut that we made last time.

Nazir: Well? What word of the Emperor?

Player: He's dead.

Nazir: Truly?

Player: I just said that.

Nazir: Could you have brought us more wondrous news? Recent events notwithstanding, this is a happy day for us, my friend. Despite your misfortunes, you stayed true to the Dark Brotherhood. You've saved us all and for this you have my eternal thanks. Now of course I must ask, killing the Emperor, how much did Motierre pay for such a thing?

Player: Oh, does he want a cut? 5,000.

Nazir: Oh, is that all? Really?

Player: Yeah.

Nazir: Come now. You're joking with old Nazir. Surely the Emperor's life was worth more than that. You'd think an emperor would fetch at least twice that. Damn that motherless cheapskate, Motierre. In any event, here's my advice. Go to Riften's Ratway, find Delvin Mallory. I believe Astrid had you visit him once before, no? Mallory is an expert obtainer of goods. We can use the money to repair and refit this sanctuary. Make a true home for us, eh?

Delvin: Come back later and I may have some work for you. The Downstar Sanctuary? That where you lot are holing up there? Tell you what. It'll cost you a lot but I can help you out. What exactly are we talking about here?

Player: So this gives us some options to upgrade the Sanctuary but you can also just pocket the money which is what I would do.

Delvin: Suit yourself.
